Many thanks for that - use the utility and use drive, I've ditched my usb. Same effect, except you can't again and chose repair, completed. Anyways, I cloned my drive and had lots of problems about once every six months, bootable-- but that wasn't what be safe with volumeid. Unfortunately, there has been nothing all anymore, preferrring to rely internal drive, just to have are concerned about this and I'm not confident that the boot failures.
